WHY WE EXIST
Because protection should never be an afterthought.
It started with a simple question: Why are women still expected to adapt to protective equipment that was never designed for them?
For decades, women have participated in sports and activities where impact protection is essential. Yet much of the protective equipment available to them has historically been designed around the male body, with women expected to make do with smaller sizes, modified shapes or equipment that does not properly accommodate their anatomy.
The result? Compromises in fit, comfort, mobility and potentially protective coverage.
We believed women deserved better.

The inspiration behind Fempro Armour came from founder Stephanie’s experience riding across Australia’s Simpson Desert alongside 12 incredible women, raising funds for Dolly’s Dream.
During that journey, one issue became impossible to ignore.
Women were participating in demanding, physically challenging activities, yet their protective equipment often failed to accommodate their bodies properly.
Armour could be bulky, uncomfortable, restrictive or poorly positioned. Equipment designed to protect could instead become something the wearer had to constantly adjust or work around.
This raised a much bigger question.
If women are expected to perform at the same level, face the same hazards and take the same impacts, why aren’t their protective needs being properly considered?
It was more than a problem with equipment. It highlighted a longstanding gap in the way women’s protection had been approached. And that gap needed to be addressed.
From Fempro Armour to Bropro Armour
As Fempro Armour evolved, we recognised that men also faced challenges with bulky, uncomfortable and restrictive protective equipment.
As passionate motorcyclists, our founder and her partner understand these challenges firsthand, wearing protective gear themselves and experiencing the importance of comfort, fit and freedom of movement.
This inspired the creation of Bropro Armour (BA), extending our athlete-first approach to male protection without losing sight of the women who started our journey.
Two brands. Different anatomical needs. One belief: Protection should work with the body, not against it.
THE REASON WE CONTINUE
We exist because we believe athletes should not have to choose between feeling protected and being able to move freely.
We exist because fit, comfort and practical usability deserve greater attention in protective equipment.
And we exist because accepting the way things have always been done is not how meaningful progress happens.
What started as a determination to give women better protection has grown into a broader commitment to challenging the limitations of conventional impact equipment.
Our purpose remains clear: to put the athlete first, question what can be improved and help shape a better future for protective equipment.
